Il 17 maggio il Pasquino Art Center di Trastevere ospita Conosci Mia Cugina? 4tet – The Italian Swing, uno swing show a trecentosessanta gradi che riporta in vita il sound italiano degli anni ’30, ’40 e ’50.

Fondato nel 2015 da Federica D’Andrea, Davide Annecchiarico e Giuseppe Civiletti, il progetto nasce come percorso di ricerca, valorizzazione e divulgazione della grande tradizione musicale italiana del primo Novecento, con un focus sul celebre swing italiano, apprezzato in tutto il mondo.

Con oltre 1000 concerti all’attivo e un’intensa attività internazionale, il gruppo si è esibito in location prestigiose come il Blue Note Milano, la Casa del Jazz e festival di rilievo come Umbria Jazz. Dopo il successo degli album The Italian Swing Vol. 1 e Vol. 2 (Ed. LaPop), con la partecipazione di artisti come Memo Remigi ed Enrico Pieranunzi, la band è attualmente impegnata nella promozione del nuovo progetto discografico Swing Hype.

Nella versione 4tet che salirà sul palco del Pasquino Art Center, la formazione è composta da Federica D’Andrea (voce), Davide Annecchiarico (pianoforte), Giuseppe Civiletti (contrabbasso) e Fabiano Giovannelli (batteria).

Lo spettacolo è una vera macchina del tempo: musica, gags e momenti di romanticismo si alternano in un ritratto a colori brillanti sul bianco e nero dei nostri ricordi, omaggiando grandi protagonisti come Renato Carosone, Fred Buscaglione, Natalino Otto, Trio Lescano, Gorni Kramer e Lelio Luttazzi, che hanno reso grande la musica italiana nel mondo. Un viaggio travolgente nello swing “all’italiana”, tra ironia, eleganza e grande energia dal vivo.

Founded in 2015 by Federica D’Andrea, Davide Annecchiarico, and Giuseppe Civiletti, the project was born as a journey of research, preservation, and promotion of the great Italian musical tradition of the early 20th century, with a focus on the iconic Italian swing style, appreciated worldwide.

With over 1,000 concerts to their name and an intense international activity, the group has performed in prestigious venues such as Blue Note Milano, Casa del Jazz, and major festivals like Umbria Jazz. Following the success of their albums The Italian Swing Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 (LaPop Editions), featuring artists such as Memo Remigi and Enrico Pieranunzi, the band is currently promoting their latest recording project, Swing Hype.
