A Cultural Metamorphosis in the Heart of Rome

The Pasquino Arts Center represents the bold transformation of one of Rome’s most recognizable cultural landmarks. After more than seventy years as a historic original-language cinema, Pasquino is evolving into a contemporary cultural hub — a space where tradition meets innovation, and where cinema becomes only one part of a broader artistic dialogue.

Our Mission

Our mission is to cultivate a space where cinema, art, music, and immersive experiences grow together — not as separate disciplines, but as a living cultural ecosystem. The Pasquino Art Center is a seed, rooted in Trastevere, growing into a place of profound exchange and joyful encounter.
We open our doors to everyone — to the neighborhood, to the curious traveler, to anyone seeking authentic Italian culture. Nearly all of our daily events and performances are free, because culture should never have barriers. By day, the Pasquino is a stage for ideas and performances. By night, it transforms into a celebration: live music, cinema, refined cuisine, exceptional wines, and cocktails that invite you to linger. For those who make culture and those who love it, this is home.

Everything here is designed with a transmedia vision: every element — from the film on screen to the music in the air, from the dish on your plate to the cocktail in your hand — contributes to a single, extraordinary experience.

An International Vision

The original Pasquino was Rome’s only cinema screening films in their original language: a space where the world’s voices could be heard without filter. That legacy defines us still. At Pasquino Art Center, we remain committed to presenting culture in its purest form: original language, with subtitles in English or Italian, and soon, through a proprietary real-time system, live translation for all talks and conferences.
Our vision is international by design. We exist to be a meeting point for Rome’s global community — a space where residents and travelers encounter culture without barriers, where partnerships and shared events connect local and international voices. The Pasquino was once Rome’s window to the world. Today, it is the world’s window into Rome.

The Place You Wish You Had

The Pasquino exists, first and foremost, for Rome. Born from the ruins of a cinema that had been abandoned for thirty years, it was built not to bring something new, but to restore something the city lost — a daily cultural presence, a place where residents can feel at home, and where art and culture are lived without pressure or pretense.
We call it a cultural survival capsule: a space designed to resist the forces that hollow out neighborhoods. Here, morning and afternoon events are free and open to all. This is not a venue you visit once. It is a place you return to — the kind of space Trastevere, and every Roman neighborhood, deserves.
Pasquino Art Center is the place we all wish we had just downstairs.

Rooted in Rome. Connected to the world.
